Mr. Grace Jethro Kavuma

Chairman and Non- Executive Director

Mr. Kavuma is a Qualified Professional Accountant and a member of Institutes of Certified Public Accountants of Uganda (ICPAU) and the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Kenya (ICPAK). He holds an MBA from Washington International University and a Bachelor of Commerce Degree from Makerere University. He has extensive Banking experience in Uganda having worked for Barclays Bank Uganda Ltd and DFCU Bank Ltd as Executive Director and Chief Finance Officer. He has also worked in various countries in Africa at Senior Management and Board Levels with reputable multinational organizations.

Anthony N Ndegwa

Executive Managing Director

Anthony was appointed as the Chief Executive Officer, of NCBA Uganda Limited in June 2020. Anthony has about 30 years of working experience in various profit and non-profit institutions, mainly in Accounting and Banking functions. In the banking sector, Anthony has worked for First American Bank, Credit Agricole Indosuez, Citibank (Kenya and Uganda), Standard Chartered Bank, Bank of Africa, and Commercial Bank of Africa Uganda Limited. Anthony was previously the Chief Executive Officer, of Commercial Bank of Africa Uganda Limited, a position held since May 2018. The other senior roles that Anthony has held in banking, include Director — Head of Corporate and Investment Banking at Citibank Uganda Limited, East Africa Transactional Banking Sales Head of Global Corporates, at Standard Chartered Bank, Head of Enterprise Centers at Bank of Africa. Anthony has also lectured in Academia and has a passion for coaching and training, having been a part-time lecturer at Strathmore University and the United States International University (USIU-A) in the faculty of Business and Finance. Anthony is a Certified Public Accountant of Kenya (CPAK), a holder of an MBA from Herriot-Watt University —Edinburgh Business School and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from United States International University. As a qualified CPA (K) and MBA with extensive professional experience, Anthony brings on board strong business development, financial, strategic formulation, and implementation skills which will provide support to the bank’s growth agenda in the years ahead.

Mr. Sam Ntulume

Executive Director, Finance and Strategy

Mr. Ntulume holds an MBA from the East and Southern Africa Management Institute (ESAMI), is a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (FCCA), is a Certified Public Accountant (Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Uganda) and also holds a Diploma in Business Studies. He has over 25 years’ experience in business leadership and management, financial management, corporate and business reporting, risk and control, human capital management, corporate governance, and strategy attained from the financial services sector, petroleum distribution & marketing sector, public sector, and manufacturing sector.

Mr. Mark Muyobo

Executive Director, Corporate Banking and Structured Solutions

Mr. Muyobo holds a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from Heriot-Watt University, United Kingdom, is a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (FCCA), Bachelor’s Degree of Business Administration from Ndejje University and also holds an Advanced Diploma in Corporate Lending from IFS School of Finance, London. He has over 20 years’ experience in the Financial and Audit Services sector, joined NCBA Bank from Barclays Bank where he held several executive positions both in Uganda and South Africa. Prior to this, he worked with DFCU Bank, KPMG, and ABSA Capital in South Africa. He is also a graduate of the Sunwords Fast Forward Leadership programme.

Dr. Maggie Kigozi

Non- Executive Director

A medical doctor by training, Dr. Maggie Kigozi practiced medicine in Uganda, Kenya and Zambia. She joined the private sector in 1994 as Director of Crown Beverages (Pepsi) Ltd. Crown Beverages continues to grow. She was later appointed Executive Director of the Uganda Investment Authority (UIA), a position she held for over 11 years. Currently, she runs Zuri Model Farm Limited, a Trustee of Shell Foundation UK, Chairman, Africa  Scout Foundation and Chairperson Global Fund Board Uganda. She is a member of the Elders Forum of Uganda, working to ensure peace and development in Uganda through National Dialogue. Dr. Maggie is currently the UN Women’s SDG5 Ambassador.

Ms. Patricia Onyango

Non- Executive Director

Ms. Patricia Onyango is a Project and Corporate Finance specialist with over thirty years’ experience. Patricia previously worked with the Trade and Development Bank (formerly PTA Bank), DFCU Group, and the Uganda Investment Authority. Patricia holds an MSc. (Accounting and Finance) degree from the University of Stirling, Scotland, U.K., and a Bachelor of Commerce (Finance) Hons degree from Makerere University. She is currently Managing Principal of PACIS Consulting Ltd, a Non-Executive Director of Stanlib Uganda Ltd and a Member of the Investment Committee of the Yield Uganda Fund.

Ms. Joseline Kateeba

Non- Executive Director

Ms. Joseline is the Managing Director of Crest Foam Limited and also serves as Director on the Boards of Uganda Export Promotion Board and Uganda Manufacturers Association. Ms. Joseline holds an MBA from the Harvard Business School, USA, and a MA (Hons) degree in Philosophy in Management Studies from the University of Cambridge, UK. She also holds a BSC degree in Maths, Operational Research, Statistics and Economics from the University of Warwick, UK. Ms. Joseline has international experience having worked in South Africa and the USA in different leadership positions.

Mr. Phillip Lopokoiyit

(Non- Executive Director)

Mr. Lopokoiyit has a wealth of experience in Finance, accounting, risk management, internal controls and corporate governance, having worked for over 20 years in various senior management capacities in multinational companies. Mr. Lopokoiyit holds a Bachelor of Commerce Degree (Hons.), Accounting Option, from the University of Nairobi and a Master’s degree in Business Administration from the Warwick Business School, UK. He is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales and a member of Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Kenya (ICPAK) and the Institute of Chartered Management Accountants (ACMA). He has also attended several courses in leadership, governance, management and finance both locally and internationally.

Mr. Joseph Baliddawa

Non-Executive Director

Mr. Baliddawa worked with PricewaterhouseCoopers(PwC) in the United Kingdom, Zambia and Uganda. He is a former partner of PwC Africa and the Country Senior Partner of PwC Uganda. He is a Fellow of the Chartered Certified Accountants ( FCCA ) and a Certified Public Accountant ( CPA ). He is a Founder Council Member of the Zambia Institute of Chartered Accountants  ( ZICA ), a Founder Council Member of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Uganda  ( ICPAU ), a Past President of ICPAU and a Founder Chairman of the Public Accountants Examinations Board ( PAEB ) of Uganda. He is the Immediate Past President of the Institute of Corporate Governance of Uganda  ( ICGU ) and continues to serve as a member of its Governing Council. He serves on Boards of Directors of several corporates as a non-executive director and chairman of Audit and Risk Committees. Joseph is a recipient of many lifetime achievement awards for his contribution to the accountancy and finance profession and several service awards for distinguished service to humanity.

Ms. Grace Kasisira

Non-Executive Director, Strategy and Policy

Ms. Grace Kasisira is an Economist, currently working as an independent consultant in Banking and Finance. She has several years of diversified experience in the banking environment. Prior to her retirement, she enjoyed an illustrious 30-year career at Bank of Uganda (the Central Bank ) where she served in various departments specialising in regulation and supervision of financial institutions and economic policy research. She has extensive exposure to risk-based supervision, enterprise risk management, microfinance regulation, and oversight. She is also a member of Project Link, an international collaborative Research Group for econometric modeling. Ms. Kasisira holds a Bachelors Degree in Economics, a post Graduate Diploma in Business Administration, and a Masters Degree in Economic Policy and Planning from Makerere University, Kampala. Her other special areas of expertise include training and advisory services in microfinance start-ups, development and transformation, capacity-based lending, and gender-related research. Since 2015, she has been serving on the Board of NCBA Uganda as Non-Executive Director involved with strategy and policy.

Jeremy I. Ngunze

Group Director, Corporate Development and Regional Business

Mr. Ngunze has wide experience in banking having worked with the Standard Chartered Bank for 18 years where he held various top management positions in Africa and Asia and is currently the Group Director, Corporate Development and Regional Business. He holds an MBA in Financial Management (University of Wales and Manchester Business School) and a Bachelor of Commerce Degree from the University of Nairobi.
