Mr. Grace Jethro Kavuma
Chairman and Non- Executive DirectorMr. Kavuma is the current Chairman of NCBA Bank Uganda Limited. He is a qualified Professional Accountant and a member of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Uganda (ICPAU), the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Kenya (ICPAK) and the Institute of Corporate Governance of Uganda (ICGOU). He is also a Strathmore Business School Faculty Member. He holds a Bachelor of Commerce Degree from Makerere University. He has worked in various countries in Africa at Senior Management and at Board Level with reputable multinational organizations. He sits on the Board of Jubilee Life Insurance Company and aBi Development Limited.
Mr. Mark Anthony Muyobo
Chief Executive OfficerMr. Muyobo holds a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from Heriot Watt University United Kingdom, is a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (FCCA), Bachelor’s Degree of Business Administration from Ndejje University and an Advanced Diploma in Corporate Lending from ifs school of Finance, London. He has over 24 years’ experience in the Financial and Audit Services sector, joined NC Bank as Executive Director from ABSA Bank (formerly Barclays Bank) where he held several executive positions both in Uganda and South Africa. Prior to this, he worked with ABSA Capital in South Africa, DFCU Bank and KPMG. After the merger of NC Bank and CBA Bank in June 2020, he was appointed to be the Executive Director, Corporate & Structured Solution, a position he held until 15th December 2021 when he was appointed Ag. Managing Director. He was confirmed as Managing Director of NCBA Bank Uganda in June 2022. He is a graduate of the Sunwords Fast Forward Leadership programme, the CEO Apprenticeship programme and Harvard Manage Mentor
Mr. Julius Konyani
Executive DirectorMr. Konyani is a seasoned professional with over 19 years of comprehensive experience in Banking and Management. His leadership journey spans various banks in Tanzania, including CRDB Bank PLC, NMB Bank PLC, United Bank of Africa (T) Limited and; NCBA Bank Tanzania Limited. Notably, he played a pivotal roleas the country project lead for the successful integration of NIC and Commercial Bank of Africa (CBA), culminating into NCBA Bank Tanzania Limited in July 2020. In March 2021, he was appointed as Executive Director and Board member at NCBA Bank (Tanzania) Limited, responsible for business development until September 2023. He also serviced as the Acting Managing Director & CEO for NCBA Bank Tanzania Limited from July 2022 to December 2022. He holds a Master’s Degree in Business Management and Entrepreneurship from University of Dar Es Salaam. He is also a certified director by Institute of Directors in Tanzania (IODT) and; a trained Project Management Professional (Prince 2). He is also a graduate of the Strathmore University Business School Senior Management Leadership Development Program and; is currently pursuing Executive Leadership Development program by Carrier Connections.
Mr. Paul Ikopit
Independent Non- Executive DirectorMr. Ikopit is an experienced business executive with of over 30 years’ experience in the Petroleum, Telecommunications and Fintech sectors with experience spanning both financial and commercial domains, and has held several senior positions across Africa and the Middle East within multinational organizations. He holds a Bachelor of Commerce Degree (Accounting) from Makerere University, and a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from Edinburgh Business School. He is also member of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Kenya (ICPAK). The organizations in which he has held senior management positions include Virgin Mobile (in South Africa and in Kuwait), MFS Africa, MTN (Group, Iran, Sudan and South Africa) and Safaricom in Kenya. He has previously held directorships with MTN Publicom, MTN VillagePhone, Digital Mobile TV (Joint Venture between MTN Group and Multichoice in South Africa) and Save App (Kenya).
Mr. Muhoho Kenyatta
Mr. Kenyatta is a leading entrepreneur, businessman and director of several companies within the Eastern Africa region. He is the founder and Executive Chairman of Brookside Africa Limited and its Subsidiaries and Chairman of Enke Group of Companies. He is director in several companies including but not limited to, Acuity Limited,Affinity Holdings Limited, CBA Property Holdings Limited, Heritage Holdings Ltd and Northlands Limited. He holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Political Science and Economics from Williams College, Massachusetts, USA.
Ms. Gladys Kavuma
Independent Non- Executive DirectorMs. Kavuma is a financial services practitioner and strategy professional. She previously served as the Country Manager of XENO Investment Management, Kampala. Gladys Kavuma has over 15-years' experience in the financial services industry and has led teams across Africa in Strategy, Business Development, Digital Transformation, Project Management and Treasury Management functions. She holds a B. Com Economics & Finance degree from the University of Cape Town, as well as various certifications in Strategy from Harvard Business School Online, Investment Management, Investment Operations certifications and Risk from CISI (UK) and has completed the Private Equity & Venture Capital Programme with Strathmore Business School. She is an Associate Member of the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investments UK. She is a Director of Santa Maria Hotel Entebbe and Dezy Business Systems Limited.
Gift Shoko
Non- Executive DirectorMr. Shoko holds a Bachelor of Business Studies & Computing Science from the University of Zimbabwe, an MBA in Banking from CIMA, Cyprus, as well as various certifications in business administration, banking credit, treasury management and trade finance. Mr. Shoko has over 24 years of experience in banking, having begun his early career at Nedbank Zimbabwe and Commercial Bank of Zimbabwe before transitioning to the helm of Trust Holdings Limited, Trust Bank Corporation in Zimbabwe, and thereafter NCBA Bank Tanzania Limited, prior to taking up the role of NCBA Group Director, Regional Business in May 2021.
Ms. Patricia Onyango
Non- Executive DirectorMs. Patricia Onyango is an independent financial services consultant providing advisory services to private sector entities in East Africa. Patricia has over 30 years diversified experience in the financial services sector in the region; having worked in senior and executive roles at the Trade and Development Bank, overseeing lending operations in seven-member countries; the DFCU Group in Uganda and the Uganda Investment Authority. She holds an MSc. (Accounting and Finance) degree from the University of Stirling, Scotland, UK and a Bachelor of Commerce (Finance) degree from Makerere University, Kampala, Uganda as well as various certifications in banking, leasing, credit risk management and project and infrastructure transaction structuring. She serves on the Board of ICEA Lion General (U) Ltd, PACIS Consulting Limited and FSD Uganda.
Ms. Joseline Kateeba
Independent Non- Executive DirectorMs. Kateeba is the Managing Director of Crest Foam Ltd, a position she has held since February 2015. Prior to Crest Foam, she worked for nearly four years with global power company Cummins and; four years at global strategy consulting firm Bain & Company. She holds an undergraduate degree from the University of Warwick; a Master of Philosophy in Management Studies from University of Cambridge and; an MBA from Harvard Business School. Ms. Kateeba is a Non-Executive Board Member of Uganda Manufacturers Association, Biyinzika Poultry International Limited, Piston Medical Limited and a member of the Advisory Board of Total Energies Uganda Limited.
Mr. Phillip Lopokoiyit
Non- Executive DirectorMr. Lopokoiyit has a wealth of experience in finance, accounting, risk management, internal controls and corporate governance, having worked for over 20 years in various senior management capacities in multinational companies. Mr. Lopokoiyit holds a Bachelor of Commerce Degree (Hons.) Accounting, from the University of Nairobi and a Master’s degree in Business Administration from the Warwick Business School, UK. He is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales, a member of Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Kenya (ICPAK) and the Institute of Chartered Management Accountants (ACMA). He has previously served on the Boards of reputable multinational companies both locally and abroad. He is currently the Chief Executive Officer of ICEA LION General Insurance Company Limited and a Director at NCBA Group PLC and formerly a Board member of British America Tobacco (BAT), Uganda, BAT Kenya and BAT Nigeria.
Ms. Grace Kasisira
Independent Non- Executive DirectorMs. Grace Kasisira is an Economist, currently working as an independent consultant in Banking and Finance. She has several years of diversified experience in the banking environment. Prior to her retirement, she enjoyed an illustrious 30-year career at Bank of Uganda, with extensive exposure to risk-based supervision, enterprise risk management, microfinance regulation and oversight. Ms. Kasisira holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics, a post Graduate Diploma in Business Administration, and a Master’s Degree in Economic Policy and Planning from Makerere University, Kampala.
